The Loch Ness "monster" known as "Nessie" is said to be a plesiosaur-like creature living in Loch Ness, near Inverness, Scotland. Many sightings of Nessie have been recorded, going back at least as far as St. Columba, the Irish monk who converted most of Scotland to Christianity in the 6th century. The legend of Nessie began in 1934 with Dr. Robert Kenneth Wilson, a London physician, who photographed a plesiosaur-like beast with a long neck emerging out of the murky waters. scientific experts were called in.First, they examined the photo itself. They said it could be a plesiosaur but it could also be an otter or a tree trunk. It may be that the only way to decide if Nessie is real or not , is to take a trip and see for yourself!

Lights in the sky tonight!
Just tonight my niece and I went Christmas shopping. On our way home while driving down the highway , we both saw bright blue lights that seemed to almost spin and then speed off so fast it was incredible! We had just been talking about this blog earlier today and how often people see things and just let it go rather than even discuss it. All I can say is that I think it's really neat to witness anything unusual and even maybe a gift. So cool!

A Recent UFO Article
By Annalee Newitz June 15, 2007 7:55:21 PM; Police and news stations in Utah were flooded with reports of a mysterious UFO on Wednesday. A silver cigar-shaped object, it appeared to be moving over Salt Lake City in search of people to abduct. Today, however, a man has claimed responsibility for launching this alarming technology from another world. Daniel Geery describes himself as a "progressive" who reads "every issue of Discover magazine cover-to-cover" (what? no Wired?) and says he launched the alleged UFO. No it wasn't a scientific commie plot to bring aliens to Utah -- it was just a 30-foot remote-controlled "hyperblimp" that the school teacher flies for fun. Apparently, it got out of control on Wednesday and drifted away. Excited Utah residents, who apparently aren't big on science magazines, decided it must be an otherworldly object.

Still more on Exorcism
The official exorcism in St. Louis took place in 1949. The incident involved a 13-year-old boy from Maryland who became the focal point of apparent poltergeist activity. A church-sanctioned exorcism was performed in the psychiatric ward of Alexian Brothers Hospital. - This true story was the inspiration for the book " The Exorcist " .

More on the Exorcist
As I mentioned in my last post, The movie the Exorcist was originally written about a case that took place in St. Louis. The boy's name was Robbie. I wanted to include this photo I found and mention that there is a sight you can find out more about all this at. www.prairieghosts.com/exorcist.html
After the exorcism was started at the rectory, the priests found Robbie too much to deal with on their own and moved him to the old psychiatric wing of the Alexian Brothers Hospital.

The True Origins of the movie The Exorcist
Alexian Brothers Hospital in St. Louis Missouri is the actual site of an exorcism, the event the movie is based on. The original building was torn down some years ago. The exorcism was performed on a young (perhaps 11) year old boy. The site is part of the parking lot now. It has a reoccurring crack in the pavement directly under the room the exorcism was held in. I personally have heard many stories of how the paint in the room that was used would never hold. There were stains that would always bleed through. I remember this old hospital very well. I even had to go there once as a child. It's well known throughout St. Louis that there were many odd happenings for years and years after the exorcism took place. The crack under the room is also something that you can still go and see for yourself. Spooooooooky!
