Clear Skies

Heading up north in the morning. Hoping for clear skies and to possibly see something unusual. I plan on really keeping my eyes open at night and focused on the sky. I'll be looking for the Northern Lights and anything else I can see. Will report more when I return :)

Poltergeist

I spent a little time today watching some youtube videos. There were a few that had poltergeist activity that were very interesting. I posted a video link on this blog so that anyone reading could view and give comments. So, here's hoping you do!

Bigfoot

I can remember my Mom taking me to a movie about Bigfoot when I was fairly young. I loved it. It was scarey and fun and I wish I knew the name of that movie. Just the other day a friend of mine from chat mentioned Bigfoot. I'm hoping she'll post her story but wanted to invite everyone else into this topic too. So,,,,,, Feel free !

Haunted Houses

One thing I firmly believe in is haunted houses. I've known so many people that have experienced living in haunted houses at one time or anouther. There was a house in my neighborhood when I was a child that was always thought to be haunted. The house was the last on an alley so that there was an alley that ran behind it and along side of it. A huge unkept yard and an old stone wall gave the house a spooky look to begin with even outside. I personally only once saw lights go on and then off in the basement of the house. But many friends back then said to have seen lots of light activity and heard sounds or crashing glass from inside the house. I'd really like to hear from anyone that has any stories to tell about haunted houses. So please click on the comment at the bottom of this blog and post your tale.

Close Encounters

I updated my profile and thought about this movie. When I first saw Close Encounters of the Third Kind something about it seemed almost familiar. I felt an understanding so deep for the characters craving feelings to go and see more. The drive from inside himself to be a part of it , to see, to get as close as he could seemed so understandable to me. Crazy? maybe. But if given the chance to choose to see or not, I'd want to see. Lights in the Sky

I want to recount something that happened to me several years ago that seems very minor but to me was really something. I was laying in bed in one of my cabins up in Minnesota. I had windows on 3 sides of me. I lay looking up at the stars as I so often do up there. Suddenly a blue light " flew " from the sky, along side of me,, and then, made a 90 degree turn and flew past the top of my head. It's hard for me to describe this but the 90 degree turn of the light is what I found most amazing. It seems so simple and I'm sure many people would have ideas to guess at what it was. All I can relate is that I knew it wasn't of this earth. I can't say what it was , but, it wasn't something to be explained away by car lights or flashlights or any simple explanation. I felt like there was a reason I was seeing it, but to this day have no idea what that reason was.

Fireworks

This happened to me about seven years ago. I was at a party with my husband and son and many friends. It was at our friends house and they only lived about half a mile away. After being there only a short while I had to run home and grab a bag of snacks for the party that we'd forgot to bring with us. I walked into my house. A few steps in I heard a POP. I felt something hit my neck and burn. I actually smelled it too. Someone was in my house and shooting a firework!? is all i could think. I ran through the house but no one was there. I heard and felt that firework. It burned me. But nothing was there. I went into the bathroom and looked at my neck and it was burnt. A red spot on the right side just below my ear. IT WAS REALLY BURNT. But still there was nothing in my house. I checked and rechecked and found nothing. I got the snacks and went back to the party. As soon as I got there I told a few friends what had happened. To say jaws dropped is not an exaggeration. They grabbed a few more people and had me tell the story again. I could see everyone was amazed but even more than I'd expect. Then they told me , that while I was at my house, my son had gotten hit in the neck by a bottle rocket. They had him come up to the porch where I was and everyone was more than shocked to see we had the exact same burns , in the exact same spot.
